This virtual consultation package will get you on your way to having a positive, empowering birth experience!
Problem: You don't know what you don't know. Solution: Get informed about routine hospital birth and you can avoid unnecessary interventions that could derail your birth plan.
The primary goals of our call will be to:
Determine if you are currently receiving Evidence Based Care (versus routine care).
Identify your birth support team and provide tools they will need to support you.
Teach you and your partner essential advocacy skills to use at prenatal visits and during labor/birth/postpartum.
After your purchase, I will send you a questionnaire via google forms which will help make the best use of our time together. In the questionnaire you will provide preferred days/times for our call.
In addition to our 90 minute call, you will receive email and text support until your baby is 6 weeks of age. You can use it for follow up questions to our consultation, finalizing your birth plan, support in addressing any challenges you may face with your care, getting a quick postpartum care plan put together, breastfeeding guidance, or newborn care questions. Additional face to face time can be added at a discount if purchased in advance. Many couples choose to purchase a follow-up call or two.
BONUS! Access to NaturalBreastfeeding.com parent course INCLUDED ($97 value). You will be given access to world renowned lactation experts Nancy Mohrbacher IBCLC, FILCA and Theresa Nesbitt MD in this brilliant online course to learn a groundbreaking approach to breastfeeding your newborn. Take the course anytime, at your own pace. Login info will be provided via email after your purchase.
Any relevant handouts or reference materials will be provided as PDF's via email prior to, during or after our call.
This consultation is an excellent supplement to any childbirth preparation class you may already be taking. However, I've found that many couples are choosing to forego a full childbirth preparation class for a variety of reasons. This consultation is meant to offer the support that cannot be obtained through self-educating on comfort measures and coping techniques, watching birth videos on YouTube and other means of independent preparation. There is so much more to giving birth than preparing your body and mind, especially when you are planning to give birth in a hospital, or get transported there for medical reasons from a planned homebirth. Let's talk!
